A final year Graduate Student of Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA), Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State has been stabbed to death by a yet-to-be-identified Indigene of the host Community.

According to the report gathered by Daily News Report, the Student, identified as Temitayo Ayodeji "Daddy Yo" was stabbed at the noon hour of Today - Thursday, April 6 at Ebenco Fuel station, along Okusa Market, off AAUA big Gate.
An eye witnessed who spoke to Daily News Report under the condition of anonymity said the Indigene demanded One Thousand Naira note (1,000) from the Student, but he refused. Upon his refusal, the final year Student was stabbed by the local Indigene. The culprit flew away immediately while the Student was rushed to the hospital for Treatment, but he later gave up the ghost today.
Sadly, the final year Physics Electronics Student is said to be defending his School Project in few days, until his life was cut short.
Following the tragic news, Students have trooped out in search of the Indigene, his family House has been reportedly burnt by angry Students, but he is yet to be located as at the time of filing this report.

The AAUA Student Union Leaders, led by the President, Comr. Ogunsanmi Kolade (Multiple), have also lodged the complaint to Nigerian Police Force, Akugba division.
Mainwhile, the Students have blocked the Akugba/Ikare road to prevent vehicular movement. Men of the Nigerian Army are also at the scene to restore peace.

This isn't the first harassment committed by Indigenes of Akungba-Akoko (Varsity Host Community) to Students of the School; as Daily News Report Metro gathered that some of the Students used to be:
- beaten,
- taxed,
- raped,
- rubbed and
- sexual harassed by some Indigenes of the host Community. Though some are punished, but most of these crimes sometimes go unnoticed or rather unpunished; hence create room for more crimes on the Students.
The Students of Adekunle Ajasin University however appeal to the Government, Management and Stakeholders to intervene in the situation so as to provide a well secured learning environment to all AAUA Students on and off campus of the University Community.
Also, the AAUA Students' Union Government has said justice will be served accordingly. This was made available via a Press release through the Union's General Secretary. It reads partly; " The leadership of AAUA Students' Union have been reliably informed about the murderous and barbaric killing of our innocent student earlier today and we have since swing to action to ensure that the perpetrators are apprehended and justice is served accordingly.
"Information at our disposal, given by some eyewitnesses, reports that Temitayo Ayodeji was stabbed to death in his hostel (off campus) by some indigenes who are already on the run.
"However, the case have reported at Akungba Police. Our position remains that the security services should launch a manhunt immediately to apprehend the perpetrator, and we shall NOT rest until justice is served.
"We call on all students to remain calm and follow the directives of the Students' Union."
